Terms of Service
1. What Recon is
Recon is a reporting tool built and operated by Recon Labs of Queensland, Australia ("Recon", "we"). It connects to your Meta ad account and Shopify store, and optionally Microsoft Clarity and Discord, to grade ad performance against your own targets. It does not place ads, change store settings, or act on your behalf beyond reading the data described in our Privacy Policy.
2. Your account
Your account is per person. You are responsible for the accuracy of the connections you make (which ad account, which store) and for keeping your login secure. You must have the authority to connect any store or ad account you link, and to invite the teammates you add.
3. Acceptable use
- Don't use Recon to access data you don't have the right to access, for example a store you don't own or manage.
- Don't try to bypass, scrape or overload Recon's infrastructure outside normal use.
- Don't resell or sublicense access to Recon without our written agreement.
4. Free beta
Recon is in a free beta. Every screen is included, no card is needed, and nothing is charged.
Before paid plans start, we will publish their prices and billing terms on this page and email account owners at least 30 days ahead. From the date in that email, the app stays locked until the account owner picks a paid plan. Your data is not deleted; picking a plan unlocks it.
5. Paid plans
Recon charges nobody today. Once paid plans start, these terms apply to them:
- Prices exclude any taxes added at checkout.
- Your subscription renews automatically each month on the day you first paid, until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time. Canceling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the month you already paid for.
- We do not refund partial months.
- If a payment fails or the subscription ends, the app locks. Your data is not deleted; paying again unlocks it.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; the new price applies from your next renewal after that notice.
6. Your data
The business data Recon computes from your connected accounts is yours. We process it to provide the service and do not sell it. The Privacy Policy says exactly what is stored, who processes it, and for how long.
7. Disconnecting and termination
You can disconnect any integration at any time from that provider's own settings, which stops our access at once. You can close your account by emailing us. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or leaves an invoice unpaid.
8. No warranty and limitation of liability
Recon is provided "as is". Grades are based on data supplied by third parties (Meta, Shopify and others) and are only as accurate as that data. To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions made on Recon's reporting, or for any indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim.
9. Changes
We may update these terms as the product changes. If a change is material we will tell account owners by email. Using Recon after an update means you accept the revised terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and disputes go to the courts of Queensland.
